Getting to Nyali
Most visitors arrive at Moi International Airport in Mombasa, or on the Madaraka Express (SGR) train from Nairobi to Mombasa Terminus. From either, Nyali is reached by taxi or ride-hailing app. Allow extra time for traffic around the island at busy hours.
Once in Nyali, tuk-tuks and ride-hailing cars make short trips to the beach, malls and restaurants easy.
When to visit the Kenya coast
The coast is warm all year. The driest, busiest months are usually December to March, with July to October also popular. The long rains usually fall around April to June, which is quieter and often better value.
